Today, rising Toronto pop artist earth2zoe returns with her intoxicating sophomore single “ok bye” via Wax Records. Making an impressive debut late last year, earth2zoe’s follow-up continues her narrative of letting go of toxic relationships and navigating the rollercoaster of early adulthood.
Harnessing her experiences into fuel for her songwriting, earth2zoe’s lyrics track an intimate narrative of fake friends, peer pressure, and finding yourself through the growing pains of adolescence. She is a remarkable and determined young artist who is down to earth, fierce and unapologetic, as she writes the soundtrack of her life to share with the world. Listeners are intrigued by her mesmerizing vocals and honest, soulful lyrics. She writes songs that reveal painful truths about love, loss, and loyalty. “ok bye” follows her debut single “Hallie’s Song,” which uses earth2zoes’s unique pop sound to tell a story of heartbreak, confusion, and anger when a friendship you held dear ends.

earth2zoe shares on the track,
“I think while creating ‘ok bye,’ I knew I wanted the listener to feel how I felt in the moment of making this song and realizing, ‘damn, this song is so fucking sad but so fucking good and relatable.’ I want the listener to use this song as their go-to sad song, when they’re upset, confused or just hating a boy (or girl) in the moment because the relationship is falling apart. I had so many emotions while writing this song, and they really come through while listening. That’s what I want the listener to hear and feel, the emotions of this song. This song takes you on an emotional journey, and I’m in love with that about this song.”
earth2zoe continues to stand out among the new generation of Canadian pop artists making waves in 2022. With more music set to drop this year, she will be hitting the stage at Supermarket on May 24, followed by a performance at The Drake Underground on June 18 in support of Alyssa Reid.
